Booooooom Illustration Awards 2025 – “Anxiety in the Night”
This project was created for the Booooooom Illustration Awards 2025, responding to my fascination with the quiet strangeness of nighttime. My series explores the unsettling beauty of the night and how it mirrors the experience of anxiety—those moments when thoughts feel louder than the world around you.
Each piece combines dreamlike compositions and surreal elements with deep, moody tones to capture that feeling of being alone with your mind under a vast night sky. Windows, shadows, and distorted perspectives act as recurring motifs, symbolizing isolation, uncertainty, and the desire for safety in an unpredictable world.
This work is part of my ongoing exploration of weirdcore aesthetics and emotional storytelling through illustration.
Array 4 – Art & Photo Zine: “Faces of Fear”
This series was created for Array 4, exploring the theme of fear through illustration. Each piece captures a moment of tension, uncertainty, or unease, translating the invisible weight of fear into visual form.
Using surreal, moody imagery and distorted perspectives, I sought to evoke the internal experience of fear—how it can twist reality, heighten perception, and make ordinary spaces feel unfamiliar. The work is part of my ongoing exploration of emotional landscapes and psychological states, merging weirdcore aesthetics with atmospheric nightscapes to create images that linger in the mind.
Selected pieces will hopefully appear in the digital zine and accompanying features, reaching audiences who appreciate bold, evocative, and memorable imagery.
